Pop-ups in History Study Center
This site makes use of pop-ups to provide some types of content. For example, the help opens in a pop-up so you can easily switch between reading the help and looking at the site. Pop-ups are not used for advertising on this site, they only include site content.
If you have a browser pop-up blocker activated you will need to disable it for full access to the content in History Study Center. Alternatively, most pop-up blockers can be configured to allow pop-ups for sites you select whilst still blocking pop-ups from other sites. Please refer to your browser help for details on how to disable your pop-up blocker or allow pop-ups for this site.
Media Players
To view the video content in History Study Center you will need to have either QuickTime Player® or Windows Media® Player plug-ins installed on your computer.

It is recommended that you have an internet connection of at least 128K.
Video clips may not display in Windows Media® Player (you will only be able to hear them) if the connection speed is lower than 128 Kbps.
Adobe Acrobat Reader
In order to view some content in History Study Center, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader. The latest version can be downloaded by clicking on the button below.
Flash Player
You need the latest version of the Flash Player plug-in to view the animated and zoomable maps in History Study Center. You can download the Flash player by clicking on the button below.
Speed
Please note that speed of response can be slow due to factors beyond our control, such as the reliability of your Internet service provider and/or Internet connection. High-speed (ISDN, Broadband) Internet access will greatly enhance the speed at which you can search the essays, key resources, timeline and multimedia items.
When reporting a problem please state your domain name or IP address and that of your web proxy server if used.
