Historical Document pages include a publisher logo and bibliographic details for the relevant source book, followed by the title of the item and the full text.
They also include links to the Table of Contents for the source book and any front/back matter or footnotes.
Note: some historical documents are only available in PDF format. In this case a link to the PDF document appears below the title of the item.
When you submit a search, the returned results use a hit highlighting feature to show you the exact words within the Full text of an item that satisfy your search. The words making up the 'hit' are emphasised in red.
Hit highlighting will pick up words that have an associated meaning to your search terms.
The following options are available on Historical Document pages:
Depending on where you have accessed the Historical Document from, there will be a link back to the previous page.
Use these links to view the previous or next item in the results list.
Note: this only applies if you have accessed the full record by carrying out a search.
View the durable URL for the item by clicking on this link. A popup will open, from which you can copy and paste the URL.
Opens the Email Citation page, from where you can email the citation for the document you are viewing.
Open a version of the Full Text with all graphical elements and navigation stripped out ready for printing.
Store the current record in the Saved Records area of My Archive and come back to it at a later date by clicking the Save to My Archive link.
Generates a citation for the current item and displays it on a new page.
This opens the Table of Contents for the relevant source book at the place where the full text page is listed.
